About Me
Amelie
Christiansen
I'm a multidisciplinary designer with a background in cognitive science, currently based in Linköping, Sweden.
I find the full range of design work interesting, so I'm equally comfortable working through individual flows and interaction details as I am thinking about product direction and service systems. The cognitive science background shapes how I approach problems. I tend to spend time figuring out why something is hard before working on what to do about it, and I stay curious about the behavioural side of things even when the brief doesn't ask for it. I tend to investigate where a system breaks before deciding what form the solution should take.
Sustainability comes up a lot in my projects, partly because it exposes the kind of problems I find most interesting, tensions between intentions, behaviour, practical constraints, and long-term consequences. That perspective is useful far beyond explicitly environmental work.
